I cannot risk leaving my job for a side hustle that I’ve just started working on. I decided to do both of them simultaneously. Now the problem was I had long working hours and it was almost impossible to come home, do chores and then work on business. I decided to work on weekends but it also didn’t work out so I knew I'll have to choose one. At that point of time, job was the choice as I had a lot of responsibilities that I cannot skip like paying loans, groceries, bills, rent and much more.
Few days passed by and it was the end of the month, I was doing the calculations of where and how much I spent this month only to realize that I was wasting so much money on parties. I questioned myself, "I don’t have enough time and money to start a business but I have both to waste on parties?" and that hit me hard.
Many of us think that we don’t have the resources to do something but we have everything when it comes to doing what we like. But you know some things are easier said than done, and this is exactly what happened with me. I started again, and it took me not one more day than a week to realise that I will have to WORK while at parties you have fun.
I left it yet again, and this time for almost a year until one day I was talking to a friend and he was telling me about someone and said, “If someone really and truly wants to do something, they will find a way no matter how hard it gets.” Well, now that stayed with me. So, this time when I started, nothing else but my attitude was different. I knew that I was doing this for myself because I wanted to do it.
There are many techniques for productivity, but according to me, no technique will work if you don’t have the want to do it.
Sometimes the biggest obstacle is our own attitude.
